Undiscovered pubs…

• I throughly enjoyed the 🚂 (Choo-choo) at Spa Valley Heritage Railway on Saturday. It was excellent, despite making Kit hang around at a station for under an hour in pretty cold temperatures and discovering there was a warm pub 1 minute away from the station before the train arrives to take us from Groombridge to Eridge then back to Tunbridge Wells West. Next time we'll Google Maps it and see where the nearest pub is 🤣

• For those that like steam locomotives, the one in the photo is a Caledonian Railway 812 numbered 828. More information on this particular locomotive can be found on Wikipedia.

• At work I've been on OpsWatch this week, and have remarked at the number of requests we as a team have recieved for changing things in the newsletters that the FT sends out every day. I cannot wait to see the work we complete which will make those kind of requests very much self-service in the future!

• I forgot to add to the future plans last week. I do want to try out WebMentions. Fortunately for me Rowan has made a good guide for this. I'll have to figure out how to make the GitHub Actions deploy job run intermittently throughout the day! Is it gamification to see how many people liked your note? Time will tell!
